Yesterday I went shooting at the shooting range. I was using a Smith & Wesson kit gun and a Ruger. We went to a mall today. I hate malls! I hate shopping! After spending 40 minutes on the bus and then spending 3 hours in a mall I was so ready for a margarita or something. Blah! I'm a total spass sometimes. I realized yesterday that christmas is on Saturday! So I have four days to clean again, make cookies, shop for everybody here in the US and a million little things that need to get done before christmas. I know I haven't been blogging but I've been busy. Bjössi, Karyn and their kids came over last Sunday and we had an Icelandic christmas meal. Boiled some hangikjöt that they had in their freezer, had potatoes in white sauce (uppstúf!), ORA green beans, flatkökur and Icelandic butter. So good. They are moving to Rota so we wish them the best of luck there :)We have to pick our next duty station

The monorail, who whizzes by our house many times a day has been quiet for a few days now. Apparantly they had them both running this weekend, and for some reason the drivers decided to go into a turn at the same time and they crashed!I'll go take a look today, before the snow comes!

Before I moved to Seattle someone told me that it doesn't snow here. And it doesn't get icy. HUH! The tempereture went down to the twenties here last night, the roads are icy (and the locals here have no idea how to drive when the roads are icy) and the weatherman said that it'll SNOW in downtown Seattle tomorrow! Crap. I think it followed me from Iceland.

Today was the womens day off (or something to that nature) and I went downtown with mum and two of her coworkers. There were about 50.000 women - and a few men - cramped into downtown Reykjavík. We walked from Hallgrímskirkja down to Lækjartorg and it took us about an hour and a half, and then we gave up and headed back to dads work where we parked. I didn't see anyone I knew though..

Well I landed ok in Kef yesterday. The flights were really painful, the SEA to MSP one was ok, I sat in an ailse seat so there was no way to sleep. The one from MSP to KEF was horrid. I sat next to a window and the two ladies next to me were being really annoying. They complained about everything, non stop for 6 hours. Well I made it all the way to Minneapolis. After a long and interresting time at the Icelandair ticket counter I got a boarding pass and now I just have to wait and see if my bags actually arrive with me. I won't be happy if they don't!So I'll be in Iceland after about 10 hours or so. Who knows.. ;)
